In 2009, the SG Frankfurt Footbag e.V. proudly presented the revival of the famous Frankfurt Footbag Open, revamped and renamed − introducing the “Bembel Cup” to the Footbag universe! And it was a success.
As official IFPA Tournament we hereby invite all net players around the globe to take part in the third instalment of the new era of Frankfurt-Style Footbag Challenge. The Bembel Cup is an Open Net Challenge Cup which will be passed on by the winners from year to year - we await the best of the best!
Within the next years our goal is to establish the most highly qualified and ambitious Open Net Tournament in Europe.
As always, the Bembel Cup is a price-money tournament!
Freestylers: Sorry, this year we will not be able to host a tournament for you, but you are welcome to show your skills on site.
In case of rain we will compete indoor at the Mehrzweckhalle Kalbach (Martinszehnten) in Frankfurt-Kalbach.
Go Top As in 2009, we chose the Brentanobad − Europe′s largest and definitely Frankfurt′s most famous open air pool − a perfect net location with a complete infrastructure and loads of spectators. Since the tournament will be in midsummer, we WILL have great weather this time!

Close by, within a 2 minute walk, a beautiful old park rounds up the perfect set for great sport − our Pro Image Cash Golf Tournament − more than a side-event! Golfers will face a challenge they will never forget − for skilled golfers seeking high risk only! You will not face the regular 18-hole footbag golf but the much more challenging “5-Hole Pro Image Cash Golf”!
Each player has 5 poker chips (100, 50, 25, 10, 5) and bets one of his chips before tee-off, so a collective pot will be played out each hole (e.g. hole 1: player 1 bets 100; p2 bets 25, p3 bets 10 = pot of 135 for hole 1). After 5 holes, the player with highest overall pot earnings wins.
To get it even more exiting, this year′s winner will receive a 50 EUR price money on top of the pot-earnings!
Do not forget to bring your golf-sets!
